The official Barbie Twitter page announced the “K.C. Undercover” star will be a one-of-a-kind doll.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Barbie is modeling Zendaya’s doll after her stylish Vivienne Westwood look at the 2015 Oscars. EW also reported Zendaya saying in a press release, “I’m excited to be a part of the new direction the Barbie brand is headed, specifically how they are celebrating diversity in the line and encouraging kids to raise their voices”
The superstar will host the Rock n’ Royals Concert Experience on Saturday, Sept. 26, where her doll will be on display.
“When I was little, I didn’t have one that looked like me, so I couldn’t connect with her in that way…But getting to visit the Mattel offices and see Barbie’s vision for the future…it was really cool. I was able to see how they plan to diversify, broadening the horizons and the image of Barbie, and make it more, you know, open. I left the office feeling it was definitely something I wanted to be a part of,” Zendaya told Yahoo Celebrity.

Disney superstar, Zendaya Coleman, sits down for an intimately beautiful conversation with her mother, Claire Stoermer, and her father, Kazembe Ajamu, about the roots of her family and the roots of her name. Immigrant Heritage Month 2015 is proud to present “Z for Zendaya.”
While Saturday’s “KC Undercover” posted soft ratings, Sunday’s episode was the most-watched since January.
For “KC Undercover,” the second and third parts of the “Double Crossed” event brought mixed results.
Part two, which aired on Saturday night, drew the show’s second-lowest viewership total on record.
Sunday’s conclusion, however, delivered the show’s best viewership since the second episode, which aired on January 25.
Saturday’s “KC Undercover” posted a 0.31 adults 18-49 rating with 1.82 million viewers. Both marks trailed those of Friday night’s first part, which scored a 0.40 with 2.40 million.
Sunday’s episode then roared back with a 0.47 rating and 3.02 million viewers. It was the third-most watched on record (behind the January 18 premiere and aforementioned January 25 episode).
— Sunday night’s Disney Channel lineup also included “I Didn’t Do It” (0.36 rating, 2.20 million viewers).
K.C. Undercover is spying… many more secret missions to come.
The Zendaya-fronted Disney Channel espionage comedy has been renewed for Season 2, TVLine has learned exclusively, having ranked as TV’s No. 1 series among the Kids 2-11 and 6-11 demos since its January premiere.
In addition to Zendaya, who is also a co-producer on the series, K.C. Undercoverstars Kadeem Hardison, Tammy Townsend, Kamil McFadden, Trinitee Stokes and Veronica Dunne.
The renewal news comes two weeks before the show’s “Double Crossed Weekend,” in which one storyline will unfold over three suspenseful nights, beginning with a one-hour special airing Friday, May 29 at 8/7c and guest-starring Teen Beach 2‘s Ross Butler.
A first look at “Double Crossed Weekend,” which among other twists serves up double the Zendaya, thanks to a nefarious plot to replace K.C. with (mwa-ha-ha!) an evil twin.
Zendaya will be Guest Starring on the hit ABC Comedy “Blackish” on May 20th, 2015 at 9:30pm. Make sure to tune in to see the new episode! Zendaya’s character’s name is Maya Calais and the episode’s title is “Pops’ Pops’ Pops”. You can read below for the episode’s storyline.
Pops comes to the rescue with the colorful story of how his great-great grandfather, Drexler Johnson, bet the future of the Johnson family against a ruthless gangster, Elroy Savoy, for Jack and Diane’s school assignment.
